This moth with the conspicuous pale streak along most of the leading edge (costa) of the forewing flew into my suite, so I have no first-hand knowledge of the caterpillar, though Handfield in Les Papillons du Québec lists clover, willow, beet and chicory in Quebec, while a close European relative has been recorded on bedstraw, plantain and dock.
