  NOCTUIDAE

Plusia nichollae

The caterpillar of this plusiine is apparently not well known, and it is possible that there are few photographs of it in existence. I found the one illustrated in July 2001 near Victoria on a leaf blade of Cattail Typha latifolia, on which I reared it without difficulty. It made a white cocoon on a leaf blade and it emerged a few weeks later.
