NOCTUIIDAE
Lacinipolia strigicollis

Lacinipolia is a large noctuid genus, with 16 species so far recorded in British Columbia. In Canada, strigicollis is known only from British Columbia and Alberta. The caterpillars of most species of the genus feed on a wide range of mostly herbaceous plants. I have not found the caterpillar of strigicollis, but presumably its habits are similar to those of other members of the genus.
