TORTRICIDAE

Choristoneura rosaceana

This is one of our commonest tortricids, and its caterpillar eats the leaves of many deciduous trees and shrubs. The one shown was reared on Rhamnus purshiana. They are easy to rear, the moths emerging only two or so weeks after pupation.
