Jeff Gaskin writes:  At Swan Lake this afternoon, October 21, there was one and possibly two Paddle-tailed Darners and one Banded Woolly Bear caterpillar Pyrrharctia isabella.

Jeremy Tatum writes:  October is the month for Banded Woolly Bears.  I have seen several at Swan Lake in the last few days.  In past years they have been abundant at Panama Flats – it might be worth a look there.  Unfortunately, people seem to stamp on them for some reason.
