    Val George writes:   Yesterday afternoon, April 19, I saw a rather early Painted Lady at the summit of Mount Douglas.  I was doing my official April butterfly count at Mount Douglas and the surrounding area; despite spending about two and a half hours in reasonable conditions for finding butterflies, this was the only one I saw.
