Memberships and Subscriptions

Memberships and subscriptions are available separately, but we recommend that you simplify the process by taking out a subscribing membership.

Included in your Subscribing Membership:
• One year membership in the Victoria Natural History Society
• One year subscription to the bimonthly Victoria Naturalist
• One year Membership in the Federation of BC Naturalists
• One year subscription to the BC Naturalist Magazine
• VNHS Member Card
• Member access and participation at Club Nights and events (Birders’, Botany, Marine, Natural History Nights, and more.)
• Member discounts and special offers
• Participation in Field Trips and Conservation Projects

Membership is valid for 12 months from date of first joining our Society. Subscribing membership fees include subscriptions to both The Victoria Naturalist and the B.C. Naturalist.

*Memberships are eligible for discounts if you are a Senior ($5 discount) or a student ($10 discount).

Any donation in excess of the above fees is tax deductible. Receipts will be issued for amounts of $10 or more, or on request.

Online payment now available!

At the request of some of our members, we are now accepting credit card payment of membership dues through the PayPal system. You do not have to have a PayPal account to pay this way. Just follow the instructions and check the "I don't have a PayPal account" box.

Using PayPal costs us about an $1.50 for processing, so you will see that amount added to the normal subscription and membership fees. (This is comparable to most bank fees and a postage stamp!) You may avoid this fee by mailing your cheque to us, or by paying your membership fees at Natural History or Birders' Nights.
