Clemensia albata

  
        

Although this moth is an arctiid, it belongs to a subfamily, Lithosiinae, the members of which are very different from the familiar tiger moths. Most lithosiine caterpillars, including albata, feed on lichens, and I have yet to find one – though I very much hope to do so one day.
