In spite of best intentions, it happens not infrequently that I have a moth emerge and I cannot for the life of me remember what its caterpillar was like. That was the case with this moth, so I'm sorry, but I have no record of the caterpillar! It has, however, been recorded on various poplars and willows, but especially aspen.
