Tolype dayi

The moth shown was resting on a wall in a busy shopping centre, and setting up a camera in the midst of a throng of busy shoppers was an unnerving experience. I have not found the caterpillar, but it is known to feed commonly on Douglas Fir Pseudotsuga menziesii.
