Xanthorhoe defensaria

I found the caterpillar of this species in a garden feeding on the flowers of a cultivated Begonia. For a while I had to pick Begonia flowers surreptitiously from a municipal garden at night, though I eventually persuaded the caterpillar to change its diet to the flowers of Bramble.
